World's fastest couch built by Evolution Custom Industries
Some mad bastards at Three Drunk Monkeys came up with the idea to build the world's fastest couch for the "Add A Motor To It" series on YouTube by Ice Break ice coffee, Ice Break were crazy enough to comission us to build it. The brief was simple, to build a couch that could exceed speeds of 92 Mph (the world record) with only a couple of months to do it, we got to work. All work was carried out in-house with counter levered, inboard shock, double wishbone front suspension, TIG welded CDS chassis, Datsun 1600 rear end, custom pedal box, dragster steering rack and upholstery by T. Wall and sons Brookvale. On Monday the 26th of september we set out to Camden Air field in NSW with our fingers crossed and sure enough the couch exceeded expectations by reaching 163.12 Kph (101 Mph).
